Simon Dixon was a very impressive speaker - really inspiring stuff

AWESOME
By Fahad Khan, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
This programme is all I needed to kick start my trading profession. It is true that you need to read severel good books to get an idea of how actually the trading works but you cant actually comprehend the concepts unless you see the bigger pictures and step ahead to see how trading actually works. Simon Dixon has done an amazing job to explain his trading strategies in the simplest possible way. DO TAKE NOTES WHILE YOU LISTEN TO HIM! ! !

On the whole, it was definitely up there in calibre, I'd say 9/10! The trainings have been highly inspirational and motivating! I'd say 10/10. The home reading I did not do because that's just me, I do not work if I am not motivated on a daily basis.

First of all I would like to thank everyone who was involved of making this workshop happening and a lot of input was put into this workshop to gather a lot of vital information that was needed to put across everyone for those who attended this workshop. I really found this workshop very useful as some information I didn't know about, now I know how to apply for jobs in the banking and finance industry. It also helped me of how to get into this particular industry in a professional manner and what sort of opportunities are available in the City. All of the information that was given to me in the workshop was useful to know and find out more information that is related to this industry. This course was worth the money and the time that was taken!

A Life Changing Experience!
Simon! This workshop has not only given me the belief that I can make it in the Banking & Finance sector, but provided me with principles that can be applied to all aspects of life. Simon was very inspiring and motivating and I felt he was really able to relate to the problems many people face – in particular undergraduates and graduates - when trying to break into the Banking & Finance sector. Eight hours may seem like a long time, but the time flew – I could have sat there for another ten! I strongly recommend this programme to anybody considering pursuing a career in Banking & Finance and to anyone who is clueless about what the industry has to offer.
I would like to thank the team at Benedix, in particular Simon, for taking out some time to educate and direct us towards the City Gates and making sure that we walk along the right path.
Great speaker, he was like my proffessional father,to simon, you are a life changer and thank you. I will make it in life with your wards.
Attend this workshop as early as you can. Is worth it.
By Silvia B., who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
No doubt that this has been one of the best workshops I have ever attended. If you are studying your degree, are about to graduate or have recently graduated and would like to develop career in banking and finance, believe me, this workshop is eyes opening. The presentation is catching, even hilarious at times, especially when the speaker is presenting his own job applications and work experience. Most of all, I very much appreciate that I managed to gain a clear picture of the working opportunities associated with the finance and banking sector and found out what liaisons happen to be between various positions as well as organisations. Moreover, Simon Dixon, who is an excellent speaker, presents several useful techniques on how to manage your job interview, techniques you might have not known before. I am about to complete my Master Degree and really wish I had known about this workshop at the time I was graduating with my BSc!
Great insight into banking and finance for people with no experience
By Anthony Wilson, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Thank you very much to Simon Dixon and everyone else who helped out. It was an extremely motivating and interesting day.
Having no experience in business and doing an unrelated degree the day was fascinating extremely useful on how business and trading works with easy diagrams and workbook to read later on. It has been a great help in which part of business I want to work in.
I was a bit hesitant to signing up but it was well worth the money and recommend it to anyone.

Simon Dixon's role as head of training for all the programmes at Benedix could not be more fitting. He is gifted and what he does and through the strength of his speaking skills and unlimited energy levels he is able to inspire those who think there is no way to secure a career in banking and finance, that there is indeed a way. I attended his City Professional Programme and I am working through the CV, Interview and Application Mastery, it is all worth it. Thank you Simon for offering your services and giving us the hidden inside track on how aspiring young finance professionals like ourselves can fulfil our dreams in the City.

The workshop provides an opportunity to begin to understand the actions and sacrifices required in order to obtain a job in the City, and more importantly to be able to suceed in that particular environment.
The hours expected of the employees working in the different sectors indicates that a person's character will play a huge determining factor in acheiving success.
The beauty of the programme also rests on the fact that the next steps to securing a career could be applied to other industries, the question of goal-setting and knowing your own personal motivations are key for every career choice.
Well done

Review of the professional workshop
By Elena Koycheva, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
The City Professional Workshop represents a great opportunity to obtain a review of the City's structure and the different functions within it. A great addition to the day would be to use more generalized and realistic examples of potential job hunt rather than personalized 'lucky' moments. Simon's review of the financial crisis represented a quite simple but rather interesting point of view detailing the causes of the situation. I would recommend this workshop to everybody starting their career search.
Very inspiring and motivating

Review of the City Professional Workshop
By Ify Abasilim, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I attended the workshop on September 5, 2009.
I feel greatly indebted to my friend who told me about the workshop. Indeed, mastery of the principles taught in the City Professional Workshop is the equivalent of obtaining an insurance policy against failure in life not just job hunting alone.
The most exciting lecture
By M. Orazymbetova, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I know that giving review about this workshop is a bit late. Still better late than never.
Before going to this review, I heard reviews from my fellow students, who had this workshop before and their review was deplorable. But I decided to try and I liked it right from the beginning till the end. Moreover, I still use it in my own life.
Of course, all matters in opinions. However, before going to this workshop be ready to change yourself, to look at yourself from the different point of view, to think about your strengths and weaknesses. Then this workshop will be very helpful.
I want to thank Benedix for giving me such opportunity. I enjoyed every minute of that day.

The first time when I come across Benedix was at university, therefore, I had some idea what the City Professional Workshop might be like. Deciding to participate in the event, made me fell that I am well investing in myself. The day fulfilled my expectations 100%. I am really boosted with a new thinking and approach to my career in accounting. Simon and all Benedix team were fantastic. Information given was very well balanced in terms of the financial sector structure, present economic situation, and practical tips. It motivated me to even harder work to achieve my goals.

The workshop which I attended on 17th october 2009 was great, it inspires us to chase our dream no matter what it takes until you rech it.
We have to give credits to Simon who is an excellent presenter, giving us a broad list of topics that we have to face in an interesting and thoughtful manner, I wish if I had a record of the whole workshop, so that I can watch whenever I need.
The team including Peter Williams are great....

Thank you Simon for providing practical methods, such as asking yourself questions on daily bases and thinking like a professional, and I apply them from now.
I appreciate the structure of the workshop and I also want to know more details in Back & Mid Offices, for example, what IT persons do in the Banks and how can I get the information.
Thank you very much.

A thoroughly enjoyable and insightful day!
By Ryan H, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
The one day workshop for the city professional workshop opened my eyes to more things than I had previously thought possible. What's more, Simon managed to keep my undivided attention for the whole day (a difficult task). Through his obvious passion for what he does and the well thought out structure of the day, I now have a much clearer view in my mind of what I want out of my career. I now know exactly where I want to end up and how I am going to get there. The thing that struck me about Simon's presentation was his emphasis on the importance of being pro-active in your career and why most people are not very successful. I went into it thinking that I was going to just be lectured on everything there is to know about getting a job in the city. What actually happened was much more than that. The seminar was highly interactive and I came out genuinely excited about what I was going to do next. I can't fault it. Even though there was a venue change, I was kept informed by email and text in plenty of time. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and insightful day.
Enlightening, Informative and Engaging
By Paul Kiess, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Many thanks to Simon Dixon and the Benedix team for a highly engaging seminar. I felt that the major areas of the industry were covered in remarkable detail considering the short one-day time-frame; but at the same time Simon’s explanation of how the different roles within the industry relate to one another provided the much-needed macro viewpoint. There were also some really pertinent messages during the first third of the day pertaining to remaining positive and proactive – considering the state of the job market this is certainly more important now than it has been for a long time. In all, I have gained much from the day. I only hope now that the careers consultation will also meet my expectations.

By Dominic Williams, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Brilliant day, well worth the small amount we had to pay. Gave a great insight into what different positions within the City are like. I was really given excellent motivation by the speaker, who managed to keep the atmosphere electric. Simon even managed to teach me something about my Masters degree which I will be using in an upcoming essay!
If the support after the seminar is as good as the build up to, and the day itself, then it will be an outstanding programme. Thank you Benedix, I will certainly be using the "power move" in future!
Great speaker, excellent presentation, and Interactive

Very informative and inspiring! Could not believe that it is possible to enjoy every minute of an 8 hours Professional Workshop. I found the explanation of core functions of banking and finance business particularly interesting. Simon’s advice and ideas have been a great help and they have given me a much more realistic picture of the prospects on which I can base my job research. Professional City workshop had covered a wide range of aspects, and I believe it would be very useful to get more information on common mistakes made in job applications and how to avoid them. I would like to thank Simon Dixon and Benedix Team for organizing such a great event.

CPW
By Shoaib Khaleeli, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
The workshop was concise and to the point. It provided information on how the city works and set out a recession proof career plan to get the job you want.
Simon Dixons insight into the monetary system was very succinct and resonated the views of most major players i have read about such as Warren buffet who believe the current monetary system is based of false assumptions.
Great speaker
By Ryan Yu, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I really like the way Simon presented. It was straightforward, to the point, and backed up by convincing stories. I do believe the habits that seem obvious and common sense are the most important things to bear in mind. Simon's presentation was also very informative for job seekers in banking & finance. Much of the information can't be gained from lectures or career service centres. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to secure a banking & finance career during the recession.
Value for Money.
By A. Eric, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
The workshop was well organised, very motivational and inspirng. It didn't only equiped me for career in baking and finance but for all walks of life. I will recommend to anyone who wants to succeed in life and who want to be on top of everything they need. Many thanks to the benedix team for organising such a wonderful and mind blowing workshop.
Brilliant Day. Great Speaker. Well Presented.
By L. Thayala, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
First of all I would really like to thank this opportunity to thank you and everyone involved in organizing this motivating and inspiring event. After today I have gained a very new outlook towards how I am going to achieve my goals. I have set targets now and have formulated a realistic plan on how am I going to achieve both my short term and long term goal. The other thing I would like to commend is the information of how the jobs in the city are different. Before today, I was unsure of what I specifically wanted to do, though I knew I want something in the corporate or financial world. After today I have been guided to see the different areas of career in the city and will start my research on what I will do. I personally think the psychometric test would be very useful and I would be looking forward to have the results.

It teaches you some very valuable theories and gives you an insight of the banking industry. Simon Dixon did a great job and was very motivational in his speech, his suggestion to read the book Trading in the Zone has already change the way i perceive the trading.

What can I say! I guess I can sum it up in a two words: "Simon Dixon."
The workshop empowered me to follow my goals and make them a reality. I am more focused towards a career in B&F. The venue and ethos was homely and friendly. The workshop was organized and well presented. The content were concise, useful and transferable. The admin and HR staff were very helpful, informative and supportive.
I appreciate the effort put into this workshop and would like to recommend more interaction with the audience in terms of discussing and debating presentation content and perhaps sharing experiences of the audience and learning where they might have gone wrong to overcome and rectify mistakes in the future.
Keep up the good job!

A big thanks to Simon Dixon and the Benedix team. Before the workshop, I felt undecided and unsure as to what role I wanted to take in the banking and finance industry. By Anju Andrews, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Attending Simon Dixon CPW was an eye opener and uplifting experience for me. The knowledge I have acquired here is invaluable and worth every penny. It is an intensive day, but well organised & very professional. I am currently using the techniques and processes that Simon Dixon taught us to get a career in banking & finance; it’s a long and difficult road ahead to achieve my goal. However, my belief is that I will have a successful and enjoyable career in Risk Management. Also like to thank all the Benedix team for their support, advice and pointing me in the right direction. The Benedix team are brilliant and certainly know what it takes to break into banking and finance. Before I went to CPW, I was confused about new career in banking & finance but after attending CPW I’m so much focused and have a set goal to achieve thanks to Simon & his senior consultant. So thank you again Benedix for all your hard work and guidance.
This workshop is brilliant!
By Z. Theuzhanov, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Straight to the point, no waffle, great value for money! Inside information about real life in the City is truly insightful and priceless. Would recommend it to anyone interested in a career in finance.
Inspiring!
By Paulina Magda, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
First of all, it was a very good value for money. For everyone who is still hesitating whether to pay or not I will only say that I have never felt more motivated, inspired and self-confident, then after Simon`s workshop. The workshop was brilliantly presented, straightforward, to the point and what`s most important, supported with real-life speakers experinece. I strongly recommend to everyone seeking a potential career in Finance!
A Fantastic day!
By L Reina, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Thoroughly enjoyed this workshop; Simon is very knowledgeable in the subject and not only gave an overview of the Banking and Finance working structure but most importantly, he shared with us valuable experiences that where in more ways than one, very uplifting and inspiring. This workshop is a definite MUST for anyone wishing to get a job in the Banking and Finance sector.
Awesome!
By Monica Agnes Fernandes, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Simon is clear, to the point and validates his statements with his personal experience.. which was priceless! He was always willing to answer questions and seemed happy to help. His enthusiasm is contagious, which results in increasing your attention span!
I now have a clear and concise understanding of the different roles in Banking and Finance sector (you will digest the information when Simon makes you repeat the important points while revising) and who better to impart the knowledge than the man who had been there and done that!
I walked out in the end... to fail my way to success...
Thumbs up to the Benedix team who pulled it together!
Warm regards,
Monica Fernandes
The Workshop Definitely Helps
By R.Robee, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Once the workshop was over, I left...feeling 100% motivated, inspired and more determined. The speaker, the other participants and all those involved in the event had brought so much insights in my dream as a professional and i would like to seize this opportunity to thanks everyone.
I would highly recommend other people to attend the future workshops, whether you are confused about your choices in a professional career, job aspirations, opportunities in the job markets or even your studies.
One way or another, this workshop will definitely helps you.
A Life Changing Experience!
By Rajiv Maru, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Worth EVERY penny!
Nothing comes easy, but I know I'm ready to fail my way to success!
Many thanks,
Rajiv.
Extremely Informative
By Benjamin Oxford, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
The day is well organised, fantastically presented and very inspirational. It helps you see the big picture in the world of banking and finance. When the day is finished, you'll know exactly what area of banking you wish to go into with tips on how to go about it. I found the amount of information given for the low price we had to pay was brilliant. A thoroughly worth-while experience!!!
Absolutely Amazing and worth it.
By Adeel Alam, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Being an economics and finance student let me tell u that all i learnt from that workshop was never explained by any of my professors. It enabled me to get more focused and at the same time keep in touch with a team of professional mentors who can guide me through out my job hunt.
Indeed Simon Dixon has got the unique skills and personality to impart his knowledge and experience in an exiting manner.
I should say thank you to Benedix and wish them all the best in future...
Inspirational
By Darren Moore, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I was very hesitant at first to sign up to Benedix but I can assure you, IT IS WORTH IT!
I travelled from Manchester on the National Express leaving Manc at 1.30am and getting into London for 6am so I was extremely tired as catching sleep on the national express isn't the easiest of things. Simon Dixon was probably one of the most inspirational people I've ever met achieving pretty much everything there is to achieve in the City. You know he has been in your position looking for work and facing another rejection letter but his workshop gives you a real slap in the face to those (me) who start accepting defeat. You don't have to apply for the same jobs as everybody else, there are thousands out there! Simon keeps you hanging onto every word and you go away with a renewed motivation.
For those of you who are in 2 minds whether or not to attend, just read through all the testimonials and you'll see that you are not being ripped off. Also, you come away with a career consultant who points you in the right direction. What more could you want?
Worth it!
By A. Khaira, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Despite already having a grounding in the City, the workshop was still quite useful with masses of information condensed into a single day. Simon was energetic and vibrant throughout, demonstrating a clear passion for the subject matter. The Benedix team were attentive and happy to answer any questions.
I particularly enjoyed hearing anecdotes based on Simon’s personal experiences. This was motivating and highlighted the importance of goal setting.
I fully recommend this event, especially for beginners. 4.5 stars
The most effective crash course in an application process.
By J'Dhun Ramdoyal, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Overall, this is the ideal guide to applying to the bulge brackets. With so much information out there about what not to do and how to get your head around applying, this course has given me a definite direction in what I think to be the most nerve racking process in landing a job. I found it very motivational, and after having researched for over a year on the topics covered, I can say that this programme has been a life saver in the sense that I now know everything I need to know in what is expected of me in the application process.
Brillant
By Jake Steele, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
If nothing else it gave me a boost and re-motivated me. I'd heard a lot of 'NO' lately and to have seen someone gone though the same made me feel a whole lot better.
I've now got a new approach to get this job!
Inspiring
By Shreena H, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
The workshop was extremely inspiring, it felt like a lot of us were able to relate to Simon's stories and therefore learn from them. It was a motivational day, really forcing you to decide exactly what you want to do and how to go about securing the role you want. Since then I have had a call from my career consultant pointing me in the right direction. Definitely worth going to.
Thoroughly enjoyable event :)
By Galia Knight, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Overall I am very glad that I attended the event.
I gained the courage and motivation that I needed to be able to start the ball rolling as they say. And after the seminar I left with a very good feeling! Thus it really does wonders for your motivation.
Listening to Simon Dixons personal career story is definitely a must, its very inspiring and real... Showing how he overcame his own great personal challenges and went on to achieve a very successful career in Banking and Finance.
One of the best things about the event in my eyes, is that it makes you see that you must to stop making excuses and get on with getting that job! Benedix promises to help you in the process with all kinds of advice and further information, which I have yet to see....
One downside I would say however, is the speed with which the second halve of the day goes at. Its a little fast! So I was a little baffled at the end when so many sectors were covered in a short period of time. 8 hrs is not enough?
Congrats, a concentrate of Securities
By Martha C, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Excellent work, a concentrate of Securities for new entries in the City of London in one day! Very well done for the presentation, I never found such a short and useful at the same time workshop/seminar. What we need is financial education, congratulations to the Team @ Benedix.
Brilliant!
By Karthik, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Very inspiring and motivating. I was able to come out with a clear idea what are the jobs that exist in the city, thier profiles and hierarchy thoroughly. Simon also gave how much we could earn in each jobs and how easy or complex the jobs are. This is a very very useful presentation that gives you a direction where you want to go.
Great Job! Well done! Kudos to Benedix Team
Excellent!!!
By R. Naim, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Thank you Simon for such a thorough look at the inside of the financial world. The workshop was brilliant and very worthwhile. Simon is an excellent speaker who managed to capture everyone's attention for a whole day, and that's not an easy feat.
The'young financial professionals' who attended on 25th Oct 08!!
By Humza Ali Khan, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
At the beginning I was really weary whether or not to pay for such an event. But everyone in my position should know, that its great value for money and the stuff you learn can really help you. I took on board alot of important things and changed my approach in job hunting and definately motivated me to not give up. I feel I am getting a little more response with my new approach and simon dixon is the reason why. Definately something everyone should recommend to friends. The only sad thing about the whole event is.........I didnt win the raffle!!
Indeed a day's worth
By simplice solabomi, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Initially, when i was reluctant to attend because it was a whole day and i was like what would i possibly achieve within a day for the amount i am paying, i might as well stay home and surf the Internet. But my friends encouraged me to go so they can get a feedback from me on whether or not to attend. I must confess every bit of it was informative. It is a kind of workshop that if you do not want to leave with anything you probably might not however, if you set your mind to leave with at least something, you would be amazed at the number of things you would leave with. And trust me, my life changed that day. Simon Dixon...is an inspirator and he challenged me to achieving my dream leaving me with the notion that ...you can not keep using excuses for excuses for excuses as you would keep going round that chain. Rather, stand up and use a different strategy. '6 Degrees of Seperation'
AN EYE OPENER.
By BENJAMIN LARYEA AMENYA, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I was expectation the programme to be similar to those we know all ready. but boy! I was in for a surprise, nothing I was epecting.I alreday new the sectore I wanted to work, but mine was joke. He touched on all the roles in the financial sector and the interdependece of those roles.I was also inspired very much on how he made.To put in a phrase what i learnt about to approach ajob finding I would say "THE USE OF UNCONVENTIONAL METHODS AS OPPOSED TO CONVETIONAL MTHODS, IN JOB FINDING". thanks to you all.

An eye opener
By P. Smith, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Thanks very much for the opportunity to learn from Simon this Saturday. I find his teaching style very likeable, and I found he kept me focused all day. I found Simons style and lecture content allowed for both people who already knew a lot about the field, but also people, like myself, who knew less (I do a Science degree) to gain a lot from it. Well worth attenting. A number of things he said will always stick with me.

What a day!
By R. Cheuk, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
For anyone who is considering a career in banking & finance, this workshop is for you. Simon was full of energy and he kept the whole day very interesting. A thorough introduction into the financial markets and steps to take in order to achieve our goals. He is damn right about 'The reason people don't get what they want is because they don't know what they want', stay focus and be persistent is the key to success.
THANK YOU for benedix
By Noora, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
There are certain things that are hard to understand from books and other secondary resources. Almost every key area covered, underpinned my doubts and questions. Not only Simon and his team inspired me, it definitely took away my fears. The workshop was totally worth the money and most importantly time.
Thank you
Eye-opening experience
By D. Colonnello, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
The workshop was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend it especially to those people, like me, who know that they want to work in banking and finance but do not know exactly what to do. The seminar gives you a broad understanding of the sector with some very useful explanation of the different roles.
The great thing is that the workshop is just the beginning. I have received some very useful tips about how to formulate my career plan and set my targets.
Now that I have a clearer picture about my future, I am much more focused on what I need to do to achieve my goals.
I have a totally different approach and I am looking forward to put into practice what I learned.
Many thanks

By Aron, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
When I booked up for the workshop, I had my doubts about whether it would be worthwhile and if I was wasting my time and money. That couldn't have been further from the truth, the workshop was great. Very inspiring and motivating thanks to Simon's clear and concise presentations and use of personal experiences to back up his comments. I would recommend this workshop to anyone contemplating a career in banking and finance.

City Professional Workshop
By CHARLES KINGSLEY AKUETTEH, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
This was an excellent and a high class programme, well organised and well presented. The materials and information provided was just right for the objective of the workshop. Sincerely, Simon is not only well verse in the banking and financial sector, but also have considerable experience to handle the programme. I'm particulary pleased to have been part of this programme and for the benefit I have derived which text books and journals cannot provide.
My personal request would be for you to provide me and all who will desire this to have a list of some of the financial institutions (Employers)categories in the three levels simon mentioned as a guide for us in making a decision when applying for a job. But for this, I will say the programme was excellent and need to be maintained for other to benefit.
Thank you.

Great insight into the industry.
By James Taylor, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Good value for money, the interview process and the material covered by the speaker is more than useful. The relationship between the various city professionals is explained in detail and has provided me with a much clearer understanding of the investment banking industry.

Good and Informative Presentation
By Hasham Mohammad Hanif, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I enjoyed listening to Simon, who is really good at deliverying and conveying his message to the public. He talks from his exprience which is a positive point of the whole presentation.
I would like Benedix to give all of us the list of those companies that Simon mentioned about (three categories).
I also learnt how easy or hard it is out there in the financial world and now have an understanding about the day to day tasks in the banking and finance sector.
BRILLIANT
By SAROLTA PALANKI, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I went to this workshop on a very cold morning. So, I expected it to be worth it. The workshop started a bit late and the interviews were a bit behind, but Simon was a great speaker and the whole day was brilliant. I learnt an awful lot and I quickly put into practise what I learnt with great results. I now have a positive outlook and I am making plans how to achieve what I want. I would highly recommend the workshop, I was lucky to have attended.

City Professional Workshop-29th November
By Sneha Raman, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
The workshop was informative and interesting without exception.I think Simon deserves the credit for making it a success.
It was a good introduction to the field of banking and finance and was well structured.I would definitely recommend it to friends who have little or no backround in finance, but I am unsure of how useful it would be to people who have already had some experience working in finance like myself. However I still think it was a day well spent and might consider future workshops.
Very useful!
By Atanas Georgiev Dimitrov, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I consider the workshop as a very useful guideline , especially for students who are first year. Simon Dixon helped me to have a clearer perception of the real City environment. In addition, I appreciate the motivation and the psychological advices that I received during the workshop. I was amazed by the dedication and the knowledge of the lecturer.
Eventful long day
By Rajesh Kumar, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Having watched Simon's 15 minutes clip on Benedix website, I expected a dynamic and powerful presentation. Happy to say that my expectations were met. His story of incremental high achievement was very inspiring. I learnt the strategies to make a successful application and shine in the interview. I am determined to put them to practice and change the course of my weaknesses in interview into success.
One suggession I would like to make is that please at least arrange some light refreshments for people who come from various destinations to spend a long day in the workshop. I am sure this make will the workshop a more welcoming experience.

By MK, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Very useful and thought provoking. It consolidated my long-term and short-term view of my career. One thing that would have been useful was to focus more on the future of the financial industry. For example now that hedge funds are under so much scrutiny and media focus, are they still the billionaires corner or maybe a new model is bound to spring up?

Inspiring&Motivating!
By Denitsa Minkova, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I was very impressed! The workshop is very inspiring and motivating! I will recommend it to all my friends!
Simon is a great speaker and not only was he giving us a better idea what the different positions in Banking&Finance exist, but he also made it clear how important the motivation is. I recognised myself couple of times in his speech and got very inspired by the things he said!
I was expecting a boring lecture, but instead of that I got lots of useful information, tips and to be honest lots of fun! :)
Cant wait to work with the consultants, i am really looking forward!
I feel soooo luck that I had been to it.
By Xiaoou(John) CAO, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
It is a great course. A busy day, but i got as much information as possible! I as a plain paper before this course, got a superb insight into trading. And I started to like being a trader more than before. I hope everyone wanting to be a trader shall attend this course if there is a single chance. But I hope not everyone will attend because all the participants will be strong candidates then for the trading roles on the job markets:) hahahaha..... I strongly encourage people to attend to this course.
Fantastic Programme
By Parmjit Bains, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970

Great day!
By Martin Minvielle, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Loved the presentation today. The speaker was extremely inspirational and helped me gain the extra motivation needed to get ahead in finding a job in the city. Only criticism would be the last part of the presentation, key 4 - Know the money. I thought the speaker Simon Dixon gave a lot of criticism about the current situation in monetary funds but never really gave an alternative.
a little bit confused
By Alina Stahie, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
well..i apreciate Simon's way of teaching ..it's really impressive, but to be honest , from my point of view today(29th Nov) he has taught us 2 points: some aspects regarding the financial world and secondly how to present ourselves to an interview in order to be successful. But, i think these two targets were mixed and that has confused me as i think he should have been clearer by dividing the seminar in these 2 sections. But i repeat that's only my opinion.
Excellent speaker.
By Helen.Liu, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970

A holistic view of Banking and Finance industry
By Ram Dheeraj Gadiyaram, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I felt the seminar gave us valuable inputs about the banking and Finance industry as a whole. It was very holistic picture in such a short time. It also cleared a great number myths regarding the industry. Any graduate who wishes to pursue Investment banking industry, should attend this course. But I felt, there could have some focus on the companies that we can apply for. On the whole, I liked it, especially the Credit Crunch part of it.
IB
By Nixon Dhushantha, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Extremely good presentation. Again captivating talk grasping audiences attention. Definitely well experienced lecturer trained in many different fields. Worth the money educating people about the different sectors and roles of IB and also intertwined with personal experiences, leading to a highly motivational result. Thank you
Only sideline was tended to draw on tangents a little. Overall very good
City Prof. Workshop
By Koli YAN, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I think it is a quite good day, provide lots useful knowledge, experiences, terminology, skills and aids for a successful internship in this high competitive industry. Simon is a really nice man with creativity and passion, really impressed me, and I really appreciate the amazing presentation.
Although long time working is normal for working in financial industries, I think the time is a little bit long, maybe split into 2days with more examples and details, or some further explanations in specific area would be better for us, easier to cover and memorise most of the stuff mentioned, and more pleased with less tiredness, it should be better even it would lead to cost few more money.
That's all. And I'm looking forward to this sort of workshops or presentations in the future.
Many thanks.

OUTSTANDING
By Mika Tempeanu, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Outstanding!
First of all by all means I always have a very critical point of view but I have to take my hat down in front of Simon! If I can say it's outstanding then definitely it is!
My mind started to react differently and started to reset itself during the seminar. It started to rumble and rumble for 2 weeks coming up reformed now. All sorts of scenarios got pictured in my head. The outcome of all this was a clear picture of how I can fit my skills (already developed) in a career, that being the base, and also what other skills need I to gain in order to completely engage to make it happen.
What I started to do differently is that every morning I wake up at 6am and hit the gym. Not only the day seems to have more hours but I get done far more in the morning, even tough I hated mornings!
I would recommend the seminar to everybody as it's worth every penny and every minute.
Well detailed and exemplified spiced up with the personal real experience of Simon, the "Training Day"(as the movie) gives you an inside view of the world of Finance and Banking.
Whether you already decided what you want to do or either you don't know what to make of your future go to see what Simon has to say and the amount of energy he engages in and then set the standards for yourself.
It's not only pure motivational work but the Benedix team will show you the way of achieving your dream career. Or there is the chance that you will wake up and realise that the Finance and Banking dream is not your dream. Either way you will be closer to the truth.
All the best!
Mika Tempeanu

By Philippa Wilson-Buys, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Informative and attention grabbing! Well presented. I had decided prior to attending the seminar to change direction and even though I wont be looking for a position in banking and finance most of the information is transferrable and relevant to interviews in all fields.
One piece of constructive criticism would be that we needed an extra minute or two for taking notes once a point had been made with examples.
Very enjoyable day. Thanks to all, but particularly Simon.
Financial Seminar
By Raymond Benet, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
Hi Guys
The Financial Services seminar was excellent and it exceed my expectations. I could not ask for more The whole day just felt, that it passed in 30 min.
What I liked most is the break down of Fiancial industry by different areas, and I realised what I really see my self doing, in the near future.
Very motivational, and learned all the box of tricks to be used when the situation occurs and keep the momentum going.
I will remember this seminar for many years to come.

Feedback for Seminar session 21st March
By Sonia Bhambra, who attended the workshop on 1st Jan 1970
I thought the seminar presented by Simon Dixon and the Benedix team was absolutly fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the seminar, and would most certainly urge other students to attend the seminar. Before attending the seminar i was unsure on which area i specifically wanted to apply for. The seminar was very informative and helped me make a decision as to the area i want to apply for. My only regret is i wished i had attended the seminar in my first year instead of my third year. I am now thinking of approaching my university GET team, and inform them i had attended and ask for the opportunity to persuade other students to also attend the seminar as i feel it will be a great steeping stone, especially for first years! I would like to thank Simon for sharing not only his experience but also his knowledge.
One area i feel that could have been a little better was the explanation of the roles in the Banking and Finance sector, it was a little rushed and in the one minute break i found the majority of attendees were asking questions as to what certain roles meant such as the prop house. Other than this it was a brilliant seminar and i will srongly advise the first years at my university to attend the seminar to give themselves a head start.
Thankyou very much
Sonia

Being a technical geek, I was limiting banking and finance in it's tiny portion. Thanks to Simon to bring it to limelight. After intensive workshop, my whole perception about B & F has been changed. It was really productive. I found the different area for career opportunities and got overview what the whole system consist of.
The workshop comprises of life skills as well. The learning processes were tailored to Simon's personal experience, which made workshop very interesting.
I am very satisfied with the day, which shows me the unique way doing things to stand out among the crowd.

It was a gereat pleasure to meet Simon and learn his story of building his way in banking and finance. I understood that it will be very difficult for me to find my own path in the City, however, it will be very rewarding. I understood that I must work hard in order to achieve a lot of things and reach my success. It could have been even more exciting if Simon would have shared more particular stories of his experince in different workfields.
Workshop was perfectly orgonised and structured, as well as, it was given enough time for lunch and brakes. Good Job, well done to team of Benedix!!!
Kind regrads
