    Dear Sir/Madam,

Hope this email finds you in good health.

I am a prospective student at Cass Business School for 2010/11 batch.

I am doing some research regarding how the job market is like for a Cass student.

Since, your counsultancy has a record of placing Cass students, can you please let me know the job scenario for a Cass postgraduate? Any record of placing Cass students? What is the average package offered to an MSc in Management degree holder from Cass?

    Best Regards,
    Abhishek Mishra

    Hi Simon

Thanks for the videos they are excellent education and eye opener. I am MBA graduate with no experience in finance and accounting at all. I have worked in project and office admin for 4 years. I intend to pursue a career that will lead me to CFO. I wanted to start CIMA but i am apprehensive. I also thought of …Doing PITMAINS DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTS TECHNICIAN to get the basic knowledge and skill in accounting and start looking for an entry level jobs in Bookkeeping and Accounts assistant or Accounts payable and proceed from there with the aim of progressing towards finance and accounting career.

Please I am lost and need your guidance.

    Much regards

    Abdul

    Dear Simon,

I have finished my 1st year exams in Accounting and Finance at Kingston University and would like some assistance with regards to gaining other professional qualifications such as CFA and CISI. I tried to get some details on this from your website, however, the page keeps leading to paypal and I am not willing to invest unless I have the full details available to me before hand.

I would also like to know when the next workshop is scheduled for as it is not on your website and would be great help for students like myself to know.

Furthermore, I have come to the understanding that the Banking and Finance programme costs around £900 but we don’t have to pay all of that, how?

    Kind Regards,

    Dee

    Hi,

I am a graduate in english literature with a 2.2, and am desperately seeking to secure a career within investment banking and perhaps going onto retail banking. However, I do not have any experience whatsoever, but I crave for money and really want to succeed in investment banking. You must be thinking, I sound like a clueless graduate, but what should I do in order to secure a career within banking and finance?

    Thank you,

    Hi Simon,

I am extremely driven and proactive, however due to previous immaturity, my grade’s aren’t great, I am now however starting my MSc at Warwick Uni for which I will knuckle down for.- some grad schemes do not state specific grade entry requirements, but for personal characteristics and skills. Does this mean I have a chance, or will I get wiped out by the A*/1st students straight away? (BSc- Logistics, MSc- Project Management).

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I have attended your workshop and watched the online videos.

Prior to this I began my ACCA (privatley funded), which I enjoy however I have not landed that permanent job.

I also began a private study of technical analysis for spread betting and I really enjoyed that.

Which leaves me confused on what to pursue?

Is it harmful to obtain a ACCA and a CFA? Is it a waste of time? am I able to move around internally in the banks to experiance different work?

I do not have on the job hands on experiance to make this decision hence the confusion?

I had a brainwave (not sure if its a good one) I decided to approach small equity/accountancy firms and offer to work for free as on a work experiance basis… is this wise or am I devaluing myself?

Bottom line being I feel like if i commit to one and find that its not right for me I dnt want to be stuck in the role. ( or is that dumb)

I am driven and I complete what I start, in this case I could have started something useless and I clearly do not no what to drive into.!

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi Simon,

I am 24 years with top qualifications such as both CIMA and MSc Business and Management qualified (Aston University, UK).

Prior to graduating in mar 2010, I was offered a one year work contract, which I completed last month.

At the moment I am finding it very hard to secure a finance / accounting job in the UK. I have watched your videos and found them very useful.

I keep using both on-line and networking (this has turned out to be less useful as people tend to wade off given budget cuts with the new govt etc).

Is there something that I am missing here? Please advice.

    Thanks

    Hello simon,

Firstly thank you for the videos, they are great. Gave me an insight into things i didnt know. I am actually lost as I dont know where to begin at the moment. My biggest confusion is that I may not be living in the UK for long so I need a qualification that will be useful even when I leave the country.

Presently I am on my maternity leave and have an year to study to help me secure a good position and pay. I do work for a bank as a cashier. I would be ever so greatful if you could guide me in the right direction. I did try calling the no on the website to speak to a consultant from benedix but guess the no no longer exsist.

    Thank you.

    Hello Simon,

Do you do university visits in the UK. I was wondering of you would be able to come run a workshop at a top 10 university in the UK.

    Kind regards

Unfortunately with the new Bank I am unable to fit in a University road show anymore.

I do one event a year for graduates of my banking and finance program. The next one is on Monday 22nd November.

Unfortunately the schedule cannot stretch far enough to fit in individual university talks.

      Thanks for the invitation.

Hope to meet you at some point.

    Dear Sir,

In similar vein to the questions posted above; I graduated with a 2:1 as a Master of Engineering (MEng) and have been working as a consulting Engineer for the last 5 years. I now wish to change career direction into finance and banking (similar to so many of my Engineering university colleagues at the time of graduating in 2005!).

To assist this career change I am currently reading an MBA . However, upon first inspection, I have quickly realised that, despite doing them 10 years ago, my A-level results are not quite good enough for entry into banking and finance. I am therefore uncertain where to pitch myself regarding for entry.

My university’s careers service advised to get in touch with you. Could you please advise on the best way forward?

    Best regards.

Does your IB training meet the qualifications need to work in U.S.A. and if it does how much will it be in dollars amount?

Do you provide printed manuals to study from or is an only
    internet video instruction service?
