Banking graduates in demand?

More firms are going to be taking on banking graduates and others, an expert has suggested.

Graduate Prospects stated it is had a 50 per cent rise in the number of bosses recruiting staff during the first four months of this year, compared to the same period in 2009, the Independent reports.

Chief executive of the establishment Mike Hill remarked: "Graduates are not as well off as they were before the recession, but they are in a substantially better position. We hope and expect this trend to continue into 2011."

He added that companies are employing scholars because the economy is rebounding.

Mr Hill also noted that graduates flip from feeling optimistic about jobs to feeling negative and he suggested they be more realistic in regards to future employment roles.

Meanwhile, Coffee Republic founder Sahar Hashemi has claimed businesses will hire more personnel if they are given more investment and she also said local ventures have a key role in economic recovery.
