Banking graduate jobs ‘back in fashion’

Banking graduate jobs could be on the rise if the claims by one recruitment firm are anything to go by.

According to the Michael Page organisation, banks are among the few industries seeking to revive employment plans as the economy recovers, reports the BBC.

It was being asked to find twice as many bankers in the UK as it was a year ago, adding that the overall job market was showing signs of recovery.

The year of 2009 had been an "extreme test" of strategy for the firm, states the BBC, but market conditions are now starting to stabilise.

Meanwhile, banking graduate job seekers with a master’s degree have been told that the qualification itself is not enough to secure them a job.

Charlie Ball, deputy research director of the Higher Education Careers Services Unit, told the Independent work experience was vital.

He went on to say that a postgraduate course will "not automatically solve your employment issues".ADNFCR-2605-ID-19653929-ADNFCR
