The launch of two new degrees at the University of Ulster could increase finance graduate job opportunities.
A Master of Business Studies (MBS) and a proposed BSc Accounting and Managerial Finance degree will be provided by the Ulster Business School.
The qualifications are anticipated to open up new career options for those seeking positions in the financial services and business management sectors.
By introducing the courses the education provider is building on its strategy of doubling its size, building new infrastructure and adding around 2,000 extra students.
Vice-chancellor Professor Richard Barnett said the new qualifications illustrated the university’s determination to build on its success in financial and business education.
"These courses directly meet some of the up-skilling challenges facing the North West and the promotion of the region internationally," he said.
"They will generate expertise that will be in demand by commerce and enterprising employers."
The MBS programme started last month, and the new BSc Accountancy and Managerial Finance course is set to begin next September.
The one-year full time MBS course is directed at recent graduates who want to develop their business skills to an international standard.
Meanwhile, professional services firm KPMG has announced that its graduate intake will increase from 600 to 760 this September.
