December could be the perfect month to look for finance graduate jobs, one recruitment agency has suggested.
According to Yolk Recruitment, the last month of the year is a good time to be sending out CVs, despite what most people may think.
Speaking to Wales Online, Dale Williams, director of the company, suggested that a lot of firms begin employment drives in January, making the festive period the ideal time to begin the job hunting process.
He told the publication: "It’s a process so you should start looking in December so that come the new year you are in pole position to get the pick of the best jobs available."
Mr York added that December provides first-class networking opportunities for job seekers as many people are often otherwise engaged in the weeks leading up to Christmas, meaning there are fewer candidates actively seeking work.
Recently, the importance of professional qualifications to finding jobs was highlighted by Ruth Spellman, chief executive of the Chartered Management Institute, who was speaking to thisismoney.co.uk.
